April 26 Foundational Yoga Practices: Inversions, Arm Balances, and Breathwork at Yoga District 14 st.

  • Yoga District 14 st. 1910 14th Street Northeast Washington, DC, 20017 United States (map)

This workshop welcomes all, from total beginners to those who are looking to deepen their understanding of foundational yoga poses. Attend one session or sign up for the full series—each workshop stands on its own while building upon the last. You'll be expertly guided through options adapted for your goals and needs.

This workshop will explore arm balance and inversion yoga postures, breathwork (pranayama), and how to use props to support your unique body and needs. Arm balance and inversion postures featured in this gathering include crow pose, forearm balance, shoulderstand, plough, and headstand.

You'll walk away with more confidence, clarity, and tools to personalize your practice. The workshop features some flowing practice opportunities, but primarily offers a conversational, informal learning environment that welcomes questions and conversation.

If you'd like to join the two other workshops in this series, the other gatherings are on:

April 5, featuring lateral standing poses, sun salutation poses, breathwork, and Q&A

April 12, featuring twisting standing & seated poses, back extensions, introductory inversions, breathwork, and Q&A

Come for one, or come for all—either way, you’ll be supported in building a safe, strong, and empowering yoga practice from the ground up.
